The study of family pedigrees. The descent of a person or family from an ancestor, generation by generation.
This forum is a catch-all for so many things unrelated it’s no longer pleasant to visit. Also, many questions can simply be asked on google such as surname origin,family crests and heraldry. Ditto software reviews. It would be so welcomed if folks who really need specific help not found on the internet had the space to ask questions of seasoned genealogists without having to wade through the muck first.
